Understanding PHOTOBIOMODULATION

Natural cellular energy is produced by mitochondria, the powerhouse of our cells. Mitochondria have photoreceptors (enzyme cytochrome c oxidase) that capture photons of light, generating chemical reactions and resulting in the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the main energy source for cells. These photoreceptors are attracted to red light, specifically to the wavelength emitted by Helight Care, which is 635 nanometers. The process induces a cellular regeneration effect.

CERTIFICATION

Helight devices poses no risk to the user. It is CE certified for electrical safety and also has FCC certification for the USA and Canada. It is a non-medical device. Helight does not claim any medical indication. The EU Regulation 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the council, applicable in May 2020, which replaces the EC directive 93/42 stipulates in annex XVI, that this type of device having no medical destination, emitting electromagnetic radiation at low intensity does not fall under a medical CE marking. In accordance with IEC 62778 and EN 62471 on photobiological safety and the presence of blue light dangerous for the retina, the Helight devices are classified as zero risk.
